Jumari

Jumari is pork, bacon, garlic, pepper, paprika, and other spices fried into delicious, crunchy, bite-sized delights. I’d buy a bag of jumari at markets and eat them while I explored the cities. But you can also order this dish as an appetizer, where it’ll usually be served with onions and bread.

Moldavian Stew

This dish, also called Tochitura Moldoveneasca, combines some of the best Romanian foods – mamaliga (polenta), traditional salty fermented cheese, fried eggs, fried pork, traditional sausages, and pickles.

People usually either love or hate tripe soup, but it’s definitely worth trying when you’re in Romania.
